About Rachel
Rachel comes to us with a strong administrative background in the church world and a heart for serving behind the scenes. Originally from the southwest metro, she and her family made the move to Olivia, MN in the summer of 2024. Her husband is the golf professional at Olivia Golf Club and shares his love of the game as a golf instructor.
Rachel is a proud mom to two energetic boys, Oakland and Maverick, who keep life fun and full. When she’s not juggling schedules or helping things run smoothly at church, you’ll likely find her with a good book in one hand and a latte in the other.
Can I share with you about the greatest thing that’s ever happened in my life?
“My parents were intentional at raising us in the church. I knew who God was and knew Jesus died for me from a young age but it wasn’t until I faced my own struggles through middle school and high school that I had to choose to believe for myself that I truly was a daughter of the King. I wrestled early on with the common question, “But if God is so good, why does He allow bad things to happen?” I had stuggled significantly with depression and loneliness growing up. One summer at a church camp I had read Psalm 139 and decided to memorize it. That was a marking moment in my faith journey as I shifted from facing hard things alone, to enduring with Christ. Life this side of Heaven, as a Christian or not, will hold really hard things. Yet as believers in Christ, we have the assurance that we don’t walk through life alone – we don’t stand in the fire alone. God’s peace, strength, and Spirit are always available to us. It’s because of Christ that we can endure hard things and come out the other side – not engulfed in the fire but refined by it.”
