Pastor Josh started ministry as a full-time, single, youth pastor in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, in 2006 where he served for seven years. His ministry work experience includes middle school and high school, missions, media, retreats & events, and administrative responsibilities. Josh married Liz in 2009; they had their daughter Ellie in 2012, moved to Willmar in 2013, and welcomed their son Maxton in November of 2015. Josh loves and empathizes with the impressionable age and awkward stage of middle school students. Together Josh & Liz believe this generation has the power to change the world; they simply need a place to belong and someone to believe in them. Josh can be found at EPIK with cookies, candy and juice boxes in hand. Meats and sweets are his thing. He blends into the middle school crowd because of his height and the students make it their goal to outgrow him before they get to high school.

Pastor Josh’s One-Minute Witness:
“Can I share with you about the greatest thing that’s ever happened in my life? There was a time in my life when I felt insignificant, left out and without a purpose. I was searching for validation from people and constantly left disappointed. Even though I grew up in a great Christian home, I still experienced these feelings. Early in my teenage years something inside clicked. I discovered that God saw me as ‘His masterpiece.’ I began to realize and believe that God created me and chose me on purpose, for a purpose. I chose to accept His unconditional love and live my life surrendered to Him. Since truly accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life, I have experienced a sense of purpose and completion that can only come from Him. I’m able to live my life to honor Him and help others discover the love, forgiveness and purposeful life that He offers!”
