Char came to Willmar in June 1982 to work for Lowell Lundstrom Ministries and later at Lakeside Press. She joined the team at The AG Church in Willmar in August of 2012 and serves as the Executive Administrator in the office. She oversees much of the day-to-day in the office, providing assistance to the pastoral staff, other staff and volunteer leaders to support the overall ministry of the church. Looking back, she remembers helping in her church as a teenager saying, “I want to do this someday,” and feels that God has blessed her with her dream job. She met her husband, Rick, in December 1983 and they were married in May of 1984. She is blessed with bonus children David, Lisa, and Steven, and mom to Nic—all who are married with children.
Fun fact: Some of Char’s co-workers call her “The Snake Whisperer.”
Char’s One-Minute Witness:
“There was a time in my life when I felt lonely, unloved, abandoned. There was a void in my life, and I didn’t know if my life mattered. It was at that point of questioning, someone invited me to a youth group where I learned that God loved me, sent His Son Jesus to die to die for me, remove my sin, and give me hope. That night, I surrendered control of my life to Jesus. Not only did He fill the void I felt, but also from that moment on, I have always known, no matter the situation or circumstance, that I am never alone, always loved, and that my God will never leave or abandon me. My future is heaven, and I will live with Him forever in eternity. If I had not made that decision, I don’t even know if I would be alive today.”
What about you? If you died tonight, do you know if you would go to heaven to be with God forever? If you do, great…if not…think about it, pray about, just do it. It truly is the best decision you will ever make.
