They expanded their family through adoption with three children. Brenda was a special education teacher in the Willmar school district for 34 years. During these years, she was involved at The AG Church as a Sunday School teacher, assisted her husband in Royal Rangers, and was the kitchen coordinator. After retiring from teaching Brenda joined Children’s Corner!

One Minute Witness: My parents were saved while I was in middle school. It was during that time that I gave my heart to Jesus. I attended a Pentecostal church every Wednesday and twice on Sundays, so it just became part of my normal life. In 9th grade, I was pulled from high school to attend a private church-based school. I became knowledgeable about Scripture, but it really didn’t sink into my heart. I grabbed the opportunity to attend Oral Roberts University. I would like to say that by attending one of the best Christian colleges my faith grew even stronger, but it didn’t. I took the opportunity of being away from home to do whatever I wanted. This behavior led to me becoming pregnant. It was during this time that I did a lot of soul searching and I rededicated my life to Jesus. I knew that placing my son up for adoption was the right choice, which I have never regretted and to this day, we have a great relationship.
