Lesson From a Secret Pact Between Two Friends
The secret to being financially savvy is all around us. Just go to your local bookstore to read all the books written on finances, or turn on the television or computer to see wise tips from financial experts. So the question is “What is so genius about generosity?” After all, our world celebrates people who have learned how to have it all…not those who have learned to give it all away!
The Bible teaches that the wisest thing we can do with our resources is to learn to invest them in God’s kingdom. This series will both challenge and encourage you to be wise in your giving and generous in your living. Don’t be satisfied with earthly stock options and interest rates—learn the genius of generosity.
This 5-week series introduces the Donovan family as they journey toward the fullness of life found in giving! Living Generously begins their story as they are challenged with the question, “Are you giving God your first and best or are you giving God your leftovers?” Living Generously will challenge your community to examine their own hearts as they think about giving God the best of all of they have to offer with their time, treasures, talents, & testimonies.
When used in conjunction with our two follow up series, Loving Generously and Leading Generously, your community will progress from transactional generosity to relational generosity to sacrificial generosity. The second in our generosity series, this 5-week series continues the story of the Donovan family and focuses on relational generosity. It expands the conversation of generosity to include the relationships we steward and will challenge your congregation to see those often unseen in your community as well as the Father’s heart for reconciliation.
