We are blessed to have so many families be part of what God is doing through The AG Church in Willmar. We want to extend that blessing to a lost, hurting and broken world. Living a life of stewardship as described in scripture helps us to do just that.
We support between 90 and 100 missionaries at any one time. Those funds are our church tithe, just as Christ followers are instructed to tithe. It demonstrates a heart for the church.
In addition to tithes, we also receive offerings (resources given over and above the tithe). Offerings demonstrate a heart for the world. In our church, offerings are directed to Kingdom Projects. Kingdom Projects are partnerships with ministries in Willmar, the state of Minnesota, and around the world. This effort is based on Acts 1:8, when Jesus said we would be His witnesses locally, regional, and to the ends of the earth...or as we like to put it - here, there, and everywhere! We want to plant churches, train pastors, build Bible schools and wells, oppose human trafficking, and generally meet the physical and spiritual needs of those who have yet to encounter Christ. The specific 2019 projects are presented in this booklet.
Our philosophy for giving can be summed up in for words: Give Big, Live Big. If we want to live above the stuff, if we want to see things we've never seen before, we need to give like we've never given before.
I hope you'll come on this adventure with us. -Pastor Keith
Night of Music
Every year we partner with a local organization through the offerings given at our annual Night of Music program.
Mission Trip Tanzania
We will be investing in future leaders by covering the cost of Epik YTH students going on a short-term mission trip to Tanzania. Our team will visit the water well sites at local churches, meet with the pastors, and have opportunities to share in these churches. Our team will also witness firsthand the power and ministry of having access to clean water.
Our goal is purchase a hospitality home to house missionaries while they are back on furlough. Every 4 years missionaries leave the field to come home and reconnect with their supporting partners and churches. Our hope is to remove the stress of having to search for and fund a home during their stay in the States.
North Central University
We will be investing in the future of missionary kids (MKs) through a scholarship fund that will cover their entire tuition costs while attending North Central University in Minneapolis, MN.
Church Re-Vitalization Redwood Falls
We will help fund the re-vitalization of the Assembly of God church in Redwood Falls, MN.
Worship Workshop Peru
This June we are sending a team to Peru to work with local missionary Jorge Montero. This team will facilitate a music workshop to train local believers to lead worship in their churches. This Kingdom Project is to fund the cost of the workshop and to purchase instruments for those churches.
This is a missionary care fund that allows us to respond to requests by missionary families needing emergency assistance throughout the year.
Our missionary blessing this year is going to a family who hasn’t been home for itineration in 12 years. We are especially excited to surprise this years family with unexpected gifts. This is going to be a year to remember!
