Teaching Agreement: 9 months (potential year-round)

Purpose:
At Children's Corner Early Learning Center, we make it a priority to provide a well-rounded
education infused with Christian values and beliefs. We provide the advantage of learning in a
diverse and nurturing community, where the process of teaching is tailored to each student.
Students in our program develop a rich spiritual identity, and move on to become self-confident
and driven children with an eternal thirst for knowledge and understanding of the world they
inhabit. We understand the importance of educating not just the mind, but the soul of each
student.

Children’s Corner Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time Preschool Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the preschool classroom and staff as well as implementing the approved curriculum. This individual is responsible for the operation and administration of the preschool-age classrooms and is committed to sustaining a high-quality child care program that values partnerships between families and staff. The Preschool Program Coordinator creates an open and honest working environment that inspires professionalism and rewards creative, innovative teaching.

The Candidate:
●Live a life that honors God in heart, actions and relationships, with the goal of becoming more

●Work closely with the Director to oversee all aspects of classroom program planning,
implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the center’s philosophy,
developmentally appropriate practices, and standards
●Respond promptly and appropriately to parent concerns, involving teachers, administrators,
families or external support personnel as needed
●Work in coordination with the Director to hire, train, mentor and supervise all preschool
classroom early learning program staff
●Maintain student files and development records of preschool classroom
●Submits requests for equipment and supplies needed for successful implementation of
programs and to meet safety and accreditation standards
●Supervise, organize and clean physical space so that classrooms, common areas and
playgrounds are clean and safe
●Provide an attractive and welcoming environment in which learning is made visible through
children’s art work or displays that promote a child’s self-esteem
●Coordinate preschool classroom placement of practicum students, volunteers, observers and
researchers
●Actively participate in regularly scheduled administrative team meetings to address
programming, health and safety, facilities, operations, human resources or other concerns
●Keep staff apprised of professional development opportunities, revisions of policy or
procedures, and personnel changes through written or electronic communications
●Continually seek ways to promote Children’s Corner Early Learning Center as a high quality
early childhood program by being actively present in the external early childhood community
●Completes other tasks assigned, or as necessary to fulfill position

The Qualification:
●Minimum 18 years of age
●Holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (or other relevant field such as
Elementary Education), or 2 years teaching experience in a preschool setting, or a
combination of thereof
●Passionate and love for working with children
●Demonstrate honesty, integrity and commitment to confidentiality in a professional manner
●Show initiative and collaboration in problem solving and be open to new ideas
●Humble and teachable, creative and resourceful
●Excellent interpersonal communication skills
●Communicate directly and avoid gossip
●Plan and execute curriculum
●Supervise classroom staff
●Ability to train and evaluate teaching staff
●Ability to interact with families in a nurturing, compassionate, and sincere manner
●Basic computer skills and familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and digital imaging
programs (i.e., MS Word, Excel, downloading photos).
